Jacqueline E. Juele-Schuster, MS, RN, NP, CWS, COCN-AP
Jacqueline E. Juele-Schuster is the Wound Care team leader at New York City Health + Hospitals | Carter. She is an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Certified in Wound and Ostomy Care Advanced Practice Nursing. She also chairs the Wound Care Council of the New York City Health + Hospitals Post-Acute Care Service Line. Currently, she is the Vice President of the Philippine Nurses Association of New York (PNANY) and the chair of its ethics committee.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Riverside College of Nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Community Health and her Master of Science in Adult Nurse Practitioner at Long Island University. She was inducted into the Lambda Iota Upsilon Honor Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Recent honors include selection by the Joint Commission Library of her visual tools for staff education on pressure injuries as a best practice. She is a two-time DAISY awardee for Extraordinary Nurses in 2022 and for Nurses Advancing Health Equity in 2023, and this year’s recipient of New York City Health + Hospitals Nurse Excellence Award.
