Dr. Wright is an Associate Professor of Medicine with Penn State Health-Hershey Medical Center’s new
Division of Geriatric Medicine. She has many years of experience caring for people with dementia across
the spectrum of care from outpatient, to inpatient, to long-term care dementia support settings. She is
currently working with the Age- and Dementia-Friendly Care, PA Geriatric Workforce Enhancement
Program based at the Penn State University College of Nursing which is funded by the Healthcare
Resources and Services Administration. Her role is to develop training programs to help primary care
providers in PA deliver high quality, comprehensive dementia care. Areas of academic and clinical
interest include geriatric education curriculum development and research, interprofessional education,
and teaching students, residents, and geriatric fellows how to communicate with and care for people
and families living with dementia.
