Dr. Magdalena Bednarczyk is the Division Chief of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care at Rush University Medical Center. Over the last decade, her responsibilities have included providing direct and consultative care to older adults in the outpatient, inpatient and skilled nursing facility settings. She serves as the director of the Rush Senior Care and geriatric oncology FAIR Frailty outpatient clinics, the medical director for the Rush Center of Excellence in Aging (CEA). Dr. Bednarczyk has also presented nationally on Age Friendly Healthy System adoption, quality improvement processes to reduce 30-day hospital readmission rates from SNFs, polypharmacy, and deprescribing efforts, and on the effectiveness of an ECHO model to improve geriatric-related quality improvement measures in outpatient primary care clinics
