Charles Semelka, MD, MS, CMD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed residency in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed a research postdoc while earning a master’s degree in Translational Health System Science at Wake Forest University. He aims to translate his research to impact patient care. His clinical focus is rehab and longterm nursing home care and primary care. His research interests include leveraging advances in measures of the biology of aging to predict and improve rehabilitation and recovery from hospitalization in older adults.
