Dr. Arif Nazir currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Abode Care Partners at BrightSpring Health. He also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for several other post-acute organizations where he assists in establishing structures for physician leadership and designing medical models. He is Past President for AMDA, and the Co-chair of Society’s Drive to Deprescribe initiative that won him the 2023 Media award. He is also the recipient of the Distinguished William Dodd award for AMDA in 2023.
Dr. Nazir is the cofounder and CMO for CareAscend, the first ever digital solution to enhance role of physician leaders, while adding compliance and quality improvement structures for post-acute and long-term care organizations. As a healthcare leader, researcher, entrepreneur, and an implementation champion, he continues to focus his efforts on finding practical solutions for solving care coordination gaps and on enhancing leadership and teamwork in the geriatric and frailty care frontlines.
