Anika Pawlak is a senior undergraduate student at Duke University studying a major titled "Reimagining the Aging, Dying, and End-of-Life Care Experience." Her studies and research stem from a passion for connecting with older adults through creative storytelling, music, and life history interviews. Anika has followed these topics outside of the academic setting through a music and memory service-learning project, an internship in marketing and operations/life enrichment with a CCRC conglomerate, leading Timeslips creative engagement sessions, and as a companionship volunteer in memory care. After graduating from Duke, Anika plans to pursue a medical degree in geriatrics or palliative/hospice care.
