Dr. Steven Posar has been a pioneer in developing systems of care for the frail elderly and chronically ill throughout his career. He is the founder and CEO of GuideStar Eldercare, a national leader in comprehensive care for psychiatrically impaired dementia and neurological LTC residents, providing integrated neurologic, psychiatric, gerontologic and psychological services.

Dr. Posar has been named the Clinical Professor of Geriatric Neuro-Psychiatry and has co-developed, with St. Mary’s College (a Notre Dame University affiliated institution), a unique program for Nurse Practitioners that will educate and train in the complex and specific care paradigm required by these patients.
